These historically significant buildings formerly housed the Brooks Air Force Base School of Aerospace Medicine and the Aerospace Medical Health Center, which were dedicated by former president, John F Kennedy in November 1963, in support of American’s race to the moon.

RVK’s design consisted of the remodeling of two 1-story, brick clad buildings on an existing site located at Brooks, identified as Building 167 and Building 176. The scope included the demolition of the interior and improvements to the exterior finishes of the two buildings as well as the additions of new sidewalks, accessible ramps, and parking lots.

The interior and exterior remodel and upgrades included addition of new exterior doors, transoms and windows, the addition of new entry canopies, new energy conservation upgraded lighting and building envelope insulation, new I.T. and security system, full emergency generator backup power for business service sustainability, new ergonomic modular furniture systems, full-service lounge area, café/ breakroom, and training area.
