THE OLD MAIN

CONFERENCE ROOM

History is coy about the origins of the “Old Main” name, but we do know it’s the predecessor to the modern-day Tobin Hill neighborhood. In 1777, the city distributed the land bordering the north side of the Upper Labor Acequia by lottery. Nearly 100 years later, the area became known as the Old Main Association, and the land was sold to the Maverick family, real estate company Gillum & Yongue, and other large landholders.
