What is Operation Kindness?
Operation Kindness is an RVK-led group of colleagues that performs acts of kindness in the greater San Antonio area. Our philosophy is simple: put others first. We volunteer our time and talents to various causes and organizations to create positive change in our community, cherishing the relationships we build along the way.
Operation Kindness began in 2012 when RVK President Judy Zimmerman vowed to perform 50 random acts of kindness. Staff, vendors, and consultants quickly joined her mission, and several acts became annual traditions, such as tying fleece blankets for The Children’s Shelter and assembling care kits for the homeless. Past operations have served organizations such as the San Antonio Food Bank, the University Health System Foundation, and the Ronald McDonald House.
